the first time I listened to the album Can I Say, I sat and endured it front.to back.in silence, and I’ll I wanted to do afterwords was be in a band. All I wanted to do was close my eyes and speak my mind, unafraid to the response. This album was critical in my life. It underlies all the alienation and anxiety I felt, how ignored I felt, and all these things I still feel, but much less afraid to shut my mouth and hide it inside.
